Don’t buy bunnies just for Easter

Hello, dear friends!

I wanted to take a moment and spread the word about buying bunnies just for Easter. So many poor buns end up abandoned every year because they were a temporary ‘Easter Bunny’ for some family, who didn’t want them afterwards.
Rabbits are NOT toys and if you are not ready for 10 years of commitment of time, love and care then buying a bunny is not for you. You can get your bunny fix of cuteness on many websites, like mine, and save somebunny’s life.

Bunny Poem =)

Hello, my wonderful friends =)

I wanted to share this beautiful poem about pet bunnies from my Facebook friend Shari Lucyk. It’s very beautiful and oh-so true 🙂 I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

My Pet Bunny

You have so much energy
Hopping from spot to spot.
You just can’t stop
Munching on carrots and radishes.
You love those vegetables;
You can’t live without them.
When you’re upset
I watch your nose twitch.
You remind me of an adorable baby
Who needs to be loved.
That’s what I’m going to do –
I’m going to love
My pet bunny.

Bunnies rule the World!!! 🙂

And the winner is… Daisy!

Hello, sweet friends of mine!

*waves paw in excitement*

I know Christmas has passed, but I just wanted to share my jolly excitement with you all. I was a First Place winner in the Pet Parade Photo Contest, themed Christmas time. Yes, yes, FIRST place!:)

*binkies happily kicking her back legs*

Mom made me this Santa Bunny outfit from felt material and set up a Christmas scene behind me for a photoshoot 🙂 When we heard about the contest, she submitted my photo and BAM! sweet carrots– I won!

This is my certificate of the win =) Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me. It really means a lot for a small bunny like me.

And here are a few more Santa Bunny photos. I hope you enjoy them, peeps 🙂

Hoppy New Year– Year of the Rabbit!

Hi guys,

*waves her paw, smiling*

I’ve been chewing on some munchies today when I realized that it’s 2011! It’s a completely New Year, how wonderful is that? And you know what’s even more wonderful? It’s the Year of the Rabbit, a.k.a. ME 😀

*giggles & blushes a little, then puts on her reading glasses & clears her throat*

According to my research, the rabbit has represented hope of the Chinese people for a long time. It is tender and lovely. The moon goddess Chang’e in Chinese legend had a rabbit as her pet, which stimulated the thought that only the rabbit was amiable enough to match her noble beauty. The Chinese character ‘Tu’ (rabbit) is part of ‘Yi’ (escape or leisure) indicating speed and distance. The newborn babies are given paintings of children and rabbits representing that the child will have a peaceful and happy life.

So there, Hoppy New Year of the Rabbit to you guys! Let’s make it the Best one yet!! 🙂

Happy Easter!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! =) (for bunnies at least)

It’s my very First Easter, peeps, and I am beyond excited! I already know how great it is, my parents told me all about it. They decorated the house with toys of bunnies, chicks and sheep. Of course, I get to be the Easter Bunny, no question about it. It was so fun 🙂 Mommy took so many photos of me in Easter-themed settings that I got a little tired at the end. My parents and I even played the game called “Real vs. Not Real Bunny Rabbit”. They tried to see if I would recognize fake bunny ears from real ones. They put bunny ears on the Pooh Bear and other bear–I sniffed and my bunny expertise proved to be correct every time! =) The bears had fake bunny ears attached, but some of the bunny toys had their own real ears. Mom and dad even put fuzzy bunny ears on me, I didn’t look too impressed.. They’re silly! 😀

Mom also coloured the eggs and put fun Easter sleeves on them. They looked good, I wanted to bite some, but mom didn’t let me. Photos were taken though 🙂

*Flops on her side after a big yawn*

Sleepy time now, guys. It’s a very tiring job to be the Easter Bunny, hiding all those eggs all over the house. I hope my parents find them, or else they’ll spoil.

*Falls asleep, dreaming of carrot-looking Easter eggs*
