I’m a bunny that just loves to chew. To me, everything is chewable. At least it was, until I learned that some things like people’s fingers are not for chewing. Sometimes I chew because I am hungry, sometimes I chew because it is fun, and sometimes I chew to learn. Here is a video of me chewing for fun:

My Manda taught me how to tell the difference between what to bite/chew and what was fingers with a fun game! She would give me baby carrots, two every day for a while. But she would hold them VERY tight. If I bit hard, I only got a bite. Not fun. She still had the carrot! If I only sunk me teeth in part of the way, she let me have the carrot. Slowly it get harder though. I had to work through levels where I had to only deeply dent the carrot, then only scrape the carrot while getting my grip, then I could only grasp it delicately with just enough pressure to politely take it from her. It took A LOT of carrots and a lot of time to learn that. I’ll admit it was a lot of frustration, and even when I ended up with lots of mouthfuls, she did end up giving me what was left of our practice carrot for good effort. You know, getting told “Easy” five times on a carrot sounded funny. I wanted to tell her “No, the word is CARROT. C-A-R-R-O-T. You know, the thing in your hand? Just give it to me already!” But it’s actually useful. You see… Now I can give her a nip without much effort. I can put my teeth around her finger and just touch them and tell her “You know, I COULD bite you, but I don’t have to. Don’t make me.” She usually responds “Opinion noted,” and changes her behavior. It’s so much less work than ACTUALLY biting her. And no icky blood taste in your mouth. Tell your human you want the carrot game. I’m sure they know where the store is. Then when you get really good, teach them to feed you raisins by their fingers. That’s loads of fun! I love Welch’s Dried Fruits Mixed Fruits. All sorts of goodies. Well, gotta go. I hear that treat bag! I only get three, so I gotta go see if I can make her lose count! Bye!
